Starting with a thorough understanding of the show, I created a list of all important themes, objects, and motifs throughout the episode.

 

Using that list, I mocked up various rough versions and developed the most successful one. I pulled from influential Swiss graphic designers to guide my choices in keeping to the theme of Swiss Modernism.

I settled on using high-contrast photography of an arial view of the interview table that appears throughout the show. It is littered with objects such as a notepad, pen, tape, coffee, cigerettes, and Ed Kemper's egg salad sandwich.
